Succulent plants

Individuals opt for plants in their homes as a way to add color, liveliness and creativity. Because of the overwhelming amount of tasks and busy lifestyles that people experience, it is easy to neglect houseplants, forgetting to water and maintain them.

For anyone dreaming of a plant-filled home but struggling to keep plants healthy and alive, succulents are an amazing option. As a low-maintenance plant, people can go on with their busy lives and not have to worry about daily watering.

Why succulents?

These exotic plants come in numerous shapes, sizes and colors. They are perfect for both indoor and outdoor spaces and flourish in many environments. Since succulents often grow in arid, dry areas and in desert-like climates, they can survive full-sun locations. Fun fact: these plants can retain water in their sap-filled stems and leaves. Another plus is that these unique plants are pest-resistant.

Tips to keep your succulents thriving in your home:

  • Plant succulents in soil blends of potting soil, sand, small stones or pebbles

  • During springtime, fertilize your succulents

  • Allow your succulents to receive at least 6 hours of sun a day

  • Once a week, use a mister to spray your succulent. As an alternative, once a week, add an ice cube to your succulent’s pot
